Check in....Week Two

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

It's that time again. And guess what? I lost a pound! Which, if I'm being totally honest, I am actually quite surprised. As this week, I didn't do quite as well as I did last week. My back has been out, so I didn't exercise at all! I didn't even meet my water goal every day. I still did ok with my food portions and snacks, and I did manage to have at least a little something for breakfast each day.
I have decided I am going to make a chart. Visuals are very helpful for me, so I'm hoping this will be a big help. It will have blocks for the the things I need to do - eat breakfast, take vitamin, meet water goal, exercise. I love to have things checked off, so if this is in front of me, hopefully it will encourage me in my goals.
My back is beginning to feel better, so hopefully I won't have a problem getting the exercise in - I'll just take it slow at first. And hopefully soon, I'll see a bigger difference, and feel much better too!

  2. Congrats!
The chart sounds like a great idea...I'm the same way...somehow the idea of getting to just check something off makes me more likely to actually do it.
    Continued good luck!

  3. Great job on your loss. The chart sounds great. I do lots of journaling and track all of my exercise. I have also heard of putting star stickers on a calendar to keep track. Good luck this week!

I hope the chart works for you! I'm very schedule oriented and spend hours crafting the perfect routine. Next step is to start doing the routine!

Thanks for the encouraging comment on my blog - I really appreciate it! Good job this week. I think a chart may really help. I like to see things down in black and white (or color - whatever ;) Good luck next week!

  9. Great job. I like how your goals are realistic. I think that is the way we should all be. To see how things are, try to find good solutions for ourselves, then take baby steps to put them into action. Good for you!

  10. Hope your back feels better soon, I've been battling with mine since March last year. Just joined the gym today, and doing my induction we were like "OK, I can do that one, but not that one" with the machines.

  12. Your chart idea sounds great - I'm visual too. I'm thinking about making some kind of visual chart to chart my miles of walking (whenever I start walking, that is!) I think it would be fun to virtually walk from coast to coast.

  13. Back pain really stinks! Hope you are out of pain SOON!

I'm so visual, too. I got a chart and a success journal from Shapely Secrets and they really help me. Sounds like you've got great goals!

  14. Good job! I was a bit surprised by my loss this week as well, since I didn't make a lot of eating changes. I guess exercise did the trick for me.

On another note, two of my children are 2.5 years apart exactly 4/10/96 and 10/10/96, so each has a half birthday, a tradition my mom is now regretting starting LOL and - we homeschool!
