The changes are made! At least the big ones anyway. I may still tweak things here and there.
I have to say THANK YOU LINDA of RS DESIGNS for my new header. I am so very pleased with it! Not to mention she was so incredibly helpful with the rest - answering my gazillion-and-one questions! She was so pleasant to work with.
If you are looking for a new look, I HIGHLY recommend her! She's awesome!
The very few of you who have me in your bloglines or google reader should have noticed by now that my blog name changed - hope I didn't confuse you and you wonder what happened! That happened to me when I blog in my bloglines changed - I couldn't figure out at first who the new name belonged to. Hopefully you all are smarter than me!
And for those even fewer of you that have me in your blogroll, would you mind changing your link to match my new name? I'd really appreciate it!
So, what do you think of the new look? I have to say I'm quite pleased with it. I really wanted something a little more unique and a shorter, catchier name! I think I achieved that.
I used colors from the owl image to choose the colors for my blog. If you don't know about colr.org, you should check it out. You download an image of your choice and it will pull the colors from it and give you the color codes. So cool! It was a lot of fun to play with.
Anyway, I'm glad to get out of the cookie-cutter template (although my actual template is still a fairly common one), and have something a little different, that hopefully stands out a little more. You know, a little more memorable!
Feel free to give me any suggestions to make this even better - I'm love constructive criticism - well, as long as you're nice!

I'm way impressed you did this almost by yourself, Jennifer. You know I love the colors. The only suggestion I would make is that the text at the end of your posts, where it says, "posted by..." is so pale it's almost impossible to read. I have that problem on my own blog when I put a link in a post - it's very hard to read.
ReplyDeleteUnlike you, though, I haven't a clue how to fix it. This is wonderful and I love your new name.
LOVE IT! So glad you got over to Linda's to get a header. :D She done the one that's now on my food blog.
ReplyDeleteIt looks awesome! I am almost inspired to work on my look, but I am afraid laziness may win out.
ReplyDeleteI just love makeovers! So fun. I can't remember your old site name. I just know you as Girl Gone Wild. :-) But I like Chronicles of a Night Owl. Being a night owl, myself. :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm so impressed and had no idea bout colr.org. Maybe I can do my own makeover with that little hint!!
Oooooooooops! I'm such a ditz. I was just reading a comment from Girl Gone Wild and went to her blog too. I forgot where I was for a moment, there. Now I'm all conflustered. That's what I get for multi-tasking. Humble apologies, Jennifer!!
ReplyDeleteLooks great, Jennifer! I'm thoroughly impressed!
ReplyDeleteI love the new look! Really like the colors and the banner!! Very nice!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love your color choice! Like you, I'm a night owl, LOL!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the new digs! Don't you just love a change?
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for that colr link. Sounds like the kind of site where I can easily spend half a day fooling around.
