This morning when I woke up, my daughter, who was already awake, came to greet me. Then something upset her (something her brother did, though I'm not really sure what!) and she proceeded to have one of her fits.
She seemed overly agitated this morning. Everything was setting her off. And she was having some serious tantrums.
All of this was within 10 minutes of my waking.
I called her over to me. She climbed on me, and I tried to comfort her.
I asked her if she was feeling ok. She responded with a "No." I asked her what was wrong.
She looked at me, put her hand over her face and said, "You don't smell bery good."
Nothing says, Good morning, I love you" like good ol' morning breath!
And apparently it's not very comforting for a 3 year old either!
By the way - she's had a few more of those fits today. I guess it's because she's 3. Sigh.
But at least the offensive mommy breath is now gone!

That's cute. (not the fits... but what she said. LOL!) Out of the mouths of babes! : )
ReplyDeletemine love to keep it real too!
ReplyDeleteOkay that is hysterical. Gotta love kids! Thanks for the laugh this morning!
ReplyDeleteOh Jennifer, that is just too funny!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm sure you're right about "3"...I never understood that whole
"terrible twos" label. Two was fine; it was definitely three that was the killer!
Scooter said almost the same thing to me yesterday!
ReplyDeleteI sympathize with you on the fits; we dealt with tantrums for about a year. Now it's just crying jags every time she's disappointed. ACK!
My daughter is also very sensitive to bad breath. The ironic thing is that she usually has the worst case ever!
ReplyDeleteUh-hmmmm....time to blog again, my blogger friend.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking this morning...how on earth did I find your blog???? Do you know? I am so glad I did, tho!
Blog. Blog. Blog!
Yeah, I've heard "Terrible Twos and Thrilling Threes." Well, mine had it backwards too!
